Bentley approvals received

Xcite Energy says that the Department of Energy and Climate Change has approved its plans to drill the 9/3b-7 and 7Z wells on the UK North Sea Bentley field. The approvals necessary to drill and produce the wells in Phase 1A of the Bentley field work programme are now all in place. Xcite Energy cleared the path to first oil from its 116m bbl Bentley field with a redesigned develop- ment plan that should see it achieve first produc- tion in the first half of 2012.
