Jurong Shipyard, a unit of Singapore's Sembcorp Marine, has bagged a US $135m rig building contract from deepwater drilling player Diamond Offshore. The rig, which will be called Ocean Apex, will be constructed using an existing hull from a Diamond Offshore cold stacked unit, said Diamond, adding that the total project cost is expected to be around $370m.
