Australia’s Beach Energy has confirmed that two exploration wells drilled on the Abu Sennan concession in Egypt’s Western Desert have made discoveries. The GPZZ-4 probe was the first well drilled in a planned six-well campaign and Beach said hydrocarbon shows were observed in the lower and upper Bahariya formations, and the Abu Roash ‘G’ member while drilling. The operator added that a testing programme was currently being carried out over those formations.
