Tullow Oil’s Banda-1 exploration well in the WestCape Three Points licence offshore Ghana hasdiscovered oil in Cenomanian-aged reservoirs.Banda-1 lies 9.6km southeast of the Odum dis-covery in the eastern part of the West Cape ThreePoints licence and encountered Cenomanian tur-bidites over a gross vertical interval of 984ft(300m). This interval contains more than 328ft(100m) of low porosity sandstone and 10ft (3m) ofaround 40° API oil pay.
