Greenland well disappoints

Cairn Energy’s first well in its multi-basin exploration programme offshore Greenland has proved disappointing. Cairn said today that its LF7-1 well on the Lady Franklin Block in the South Ungavva Area, located in 3,288ft (1,002m) of water reached target depth (TD) in basement strata and preparations are underway to plug and abandon the well.
