‘High impact’ Aldous/Avaldsnes

Statoil said today that it has potentially hit one of the top 10 oil discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), with the Aldous and Avaldsnes discoveries containing between 500m to 1.2 Bn boe. Further appraisal will now be carried out in the region of the finds to identify any further resources and to help establish a development solution for the discoveries.
