Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority has givenTotal the green light to drill exploration well6607/12-2S in the Norwegian North Sea with theSonga Delta rig.The well, which will be drilled as a 50/50 jointventure with Statoil, is targeting a prospectapproximately 10km from Norne. The water depthat the site is 1,257ft (383m) and drilling isexpected to last for 66 days.
