ONGC eyes Sri Lanka trio

Sri Lankan could hand out three blocks offshore the northern region of the country to the overseas subsidiary of India's state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC). "We are working in the Kaveri Basin and Mannar Basin and had submitted our proposal earlier to the Sri Lankan government. We want these blocks on a nomination basis," said an unnamed executive at ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) in a local report, adding that a team from OVL will visit Sri Lanka in the near future.
