Total has made a gas discovery in the Norvargprospect in Barents Sea Production Licence 535(PL 535), partner North Energy said today.Exploration well 7225/3-1 has not been com-pleted, but preliminary well data indicate gas atthree different levels, a significant part of it in theKobbe formation.North said: “It is too early to conclude on flowrate characteristics and potential commerciality;hence the partnership has decided to perform aproduction test to gather information about reser-voir production properties.”
