Tullow bags Mauritania assets

London-listed Tullow Oil has acquired all of Roc Oil’s assets offshore Mauritania for a sum of US $4m. The move will sees Roc exiting Mauritania’s offshore sector as part of its strategy to offload or farm down its African acreage so that it can focus on other markets. Tullow is getting equity of between 2% and 5.49% in blocks offshore Mauritania, including a 3.25% share in the producing Chinguetti oil field.
