Senex Energy has encountered oil shows in theVintage Crop-1 exploration well in PEL 516 in theCooper Basin, South Australia.Australia-based Senex said it is currently drillingahead to a total depth of 5,479ft (1,670m).The well is being drilled to assess five zones ofthe Cretaceous and Jurassic Eromanga sequenceand will later be deepened to evaluate the uncon-ventional gas potential of the underlyingToolachee formation and Roseneath and Murtereeshales.
