Aldous Major South spuds

Statoil has spudded its Aldous Major South appraisal/exploration well 16/2-8 in the Norwegian North Sea, partner Lundin said today. The Aldous Major South structure is believed to be the western continuation of Lundin’s Production Licence 501 (PL 501) Avaldsnes discovery into PL 265, with the primary target in sandstone of Upper and Middle Jurassic age.
