L&M Kiwi Talon probe

Australia’s L&M Energy is preparing to kick offthe Talon-1 exploration well in July on PEP 51151in the Taranaki Basin onshore New Zealand.L&M said the well is due to be spudded on 1July and has a planned total depth of 4,757ft(1,450m) to target mean recoverable oil reservesof 2m bbl in the shallow Manutahi sands.The operator also said that the structure wasgeologically identical to Origin Energy’s adjacentManutahi oil field which is estimated to hold 4mbbl of recoverable reserves.
