Australia's New Guinea Energy has been given the green light from the Papua New Guinea (PNG) government to farm out interests in the PPL 268 and PPL 269 permits to Canada's Talisman Energy. Talisman is set to acquire 15% in PPL 286 and 50% in PPL 269. The Canadian firm has assumed operatorship of the two permits. New Guinea Energy said it has not requested nor received any loan funds from Talisman to fund seismic surveys on the two blocks following the agreement.
