Reliance spuds Indian probe

India’s Reliance Industries has spudded its fifth exploration well on Block KG-V-D3 in the Krishna Godavari Basin offshore the east coast of India. Drilling started on 2 April with Transocean’s drillship Deepwater Expedition, said partner Hardy Oil. The well will test Miocene and Pliocene sands and will be drilled to a target depth of 11,529ft (3,514m).
