Repsol profit jumps 60%

Spain’s Repsol reported a 60% increase in second quarter profit, mainly thanks to a strong down- stream performance. Repsol said adjusted net profit was in at US $683.4m. Repsol’s refining and marketing busi- ness was helped by Spanish refining margins, which were more than six times higher than the previous year, as well as management of produc- tion at its Spanish refineries and better gasoline prices.
