642 bids for GoM tracts

The US Minerals Management Service (MMS) has received bids 642 bids on 468 tracts from 67 operators for its Central Gulf Sale 213. The regulator saw a total of 295 tracts in water depths greater than 1,300ft (4,265m). The bids will be opened tomorrow morning and preliminary winners will be announced. All bids must be screened to ensure they meet estimated fair market value before MMS will make the final block awards.
