Perenco puts back Peru play

France's Perenco will delay its planned US $2 Bn investment to start production at oil fields in Peru's northern Amazon jungle by two years due to weak crude prices.The operator plans to kick off production by 2013, said Perenco president Francois Perrodo in Lima, reported Bloomberg. The company will drill 11 wells in Blocks 67 and 121. Perenco aims to produce 100,000 b/d of heavy crude at the fields.
