Ghana will produce its first oil this year – but it will take four to six months to reach its planned output of 120,000 b/d, said Energy Minister Joe Oteng-Adjei. “We will definitely have first oil by the end of this year,” Oteng-Adjeiy told Reuters. “It will be between four months to six months after we start production that we will hit the peak (120,000 b/d) and this level will stay there for three years.”
