Serica Energy’s Conan exploration well in the East Irish Sea has come up dry. The 113/26b-3 well reached a total depth of 5,994ft (1,827m), but failed to encounter hydrocar- bons. The target of the well was to test the gas potential of the Triassic age Sherwood sandstone, which is the principal producing reservoir in the existing gas fields in the East Irish Sea.
