Newfield Exploration has revealed two deepwater discoveries in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM) called Pyrenees and Winter. Since the start of 2008, Newfield said it has drilled seven successful wells out of eight in the deepwater GoM and has seven deepwater developments underway, providing significant future production growth.
