DSS cancels vessel hull

Deep Sea Supply (DSS) has cancelled a contract with Jaya Shipbuilding and Engineering for a newbuild vessel hull. Deep Sea Supply was due to take delivery of the hull of the Sea Hawk 1 but the vessel operator has cancelled the hull because of “substantial delays beyond the revised, contractual delivery date”. Deep Sea Supply has made pre-delivery installment payments to Jaya of US $3.6m, which will be refunded in full.
