Nexen has hit pay in its Hobby exploration well in the UK North Sea and is looking to develop the find alongside its Golden Eagle and Pink discoveries, partner Maersk Oil said. The discovery is in Block 20/1N, approximately 1.5km west of the recent Golden Eagle discovery. Nexen said future appraisal and development options are now being considered in the Golden Eagle area, which includes discoveries at Golden Eagle, Pink and now Hobby.
