Ascent's Hungary double

Ascent Resources has completed a second sidetrack gas well in the Nyirseg licence in eastern Hungary. Data from the PEN-104AA well suggests the presence of a substantial gas reservoir, Ascent said. The well was drilled to a depth of 6,142ft (1,872m) and penetrated 213ft (65m) of the Miocene reservoir formation. Tests will be run after the drilling rig is demobilised.
