Plains hands back Kiwi block

Plains E&P has relinquished PEP 38344 in frontier waters offshore the east coast of New Zealand to the government.State-owned Crown Minerals said Plains gave up PEP 38344 in the East Coast Basin earlier this month. Plains had inherited the block and other New Zealand acreage when it acquired Pogo Producing in 2007.
