The Banda NW appraisal well in PSC B offshore Mauritania has reached target depth and encountered gas sands,said Premier Oil."The well was sidetracked into PSC A,reaching target depth of 8,947ft(2,727m),'said Premier."Oil and gas intervals were encountered as predicted and similar to those seen in the discovery well Banda-1 approximately 2km to the east.Results of the wireline logging indicate that the sidetrack well intersected an 279ft(85m)gas column and a 49ft(15m)oil column."
