Pertra has hit oil in its Storskrymten wildcat well in the Norwegian North Sea,the firm said today.The 15/12-18S well,which was drilled with the M?rsk Gallant rig between the Sleipner Ost and Varg fields,hit pay in Palaeocene sands.Pertra said the well proved oil in parts of 118ft(36m)thick sandstones of the TY formation at a depth of 8,366ft(2,550m).The reservoir section will be sampled and evaluated before a decision to drill a side-track is made.
