Nippon ready for Libyan deep

Nippon Oil has found a drillship for up to nine deepwater wells offshore Libya.The firm is taking the Songa Saturn for four firm wells at a cost of US 75m, with options for another five at a potential cost of 91m.The contract is likely to start in the second quarter of 2008. The other oil companies in the consortium are CNPC, Japex and Petrobras.
