South Korea's Daewoo International said it estimates its three gas fields offshore Myanmar would cost a total of US 2-3 Bn to develop.Daewoo said the three fields in Blocks A-1 and A-3 hold up to 10 Tcf of gas.Initial development costs are estimated at 1.4-2.4 Bn, with an additional 600m needed at a later stage, Rim Chae-moon, senior executive vice president at Daewoo's commodity and energy division, told Reuters. Aside from the company's own cash reserves, Daewoo might sell its non-core assets to fund the development project if necessary.
