Statoil has completed exploration well 6403/6-1 in the Edvarda prospect in the Norwegian Sea but no gas or oil was found."It is of course disappointing that we did not strike hydrocarbons, but the deepwater areas in the Norwegian Sea are rather unexplored.This new data point will be an important contribution in the efforts to find more oil and gas in the region," said Kjersti Seim, exploration manager for the Norwegian Sea deepwater area.
