Eni's board of directors has approved the investment for the Coral South phase one development in the Rovuma Basin offshore Mozambique, pushing the project closer to a final investment decision (FID) that is still targeted for this year. The first phase involves construction of six subsea wells connected to a floating LNG facility with capacity of over 3.3 million tons/yr, equivalent to around 5 Bcm/yr of gas.
