Masirah Oil Spuds Another Well Off Oman

Masirah Oil has started drilling its third offshore well at Oman's Block 50 in the Arabian Sea, its major shareholder Rex International said, as a recent discovery continues to outweigh investor concerns over low oil prices. Masirah, a joint venture among Singaporelisted Rex (57.6%), Cote d'Ivoire's national oil company Petroci (36.0%) and Norway-based Lime Petroleum (6.4%), plans to drill as many as three wells on Block 50 during 2016. Rex's 65% stake in Lime gives it an effective 61.8% interest in Masirah.
