Germany's E.On posted a net loss of ?7 billion ($7.67 billion) for 2015 following an impairment charge of ?8.8 billion on its natural gas and coal generation assets, but has kept dividends intact. The company's oil and condensate production rose by 8% to 11.5 million bbl (31,500 b/d) last year, while natural gas output increased by 3% to 1.95 Bcm. Colder weather contributed to a 47% rise in gas sales in terms of kilowatt hours but the low-price environment dragged E.On into the red.
