InterOil Founder Open to Exxon Talks

InterOil founder and former CEO Phil Mulacek said that he is open to talks with Exxon Mobil to come up with a "fair" value of the Papua New Guinea-focused firm, after scuttling the US major's planned US$2.5 billion takeover (IOD Nov.8'16). A Canadian appeals court last week overturned approval of Exxon's acquisition of InterOil after Mulacek, who still owns 5.5% in the company, according to court documents, contested the value of the deal. InterOil is incorporated in Yukon, Canada.
