Sabic Moves Into Coal Feedstock With China Deal

Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (Sabic) has agreed to study building a coal - fueled greenfield petrochemical complex with China's Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group, as the kingdom's largest listed company looks to diversify its operations and feedstock base. Under a project development agreement, the two companies will carry out a joint feasibility study into the project, to be located in the Ningxia region in northern China, the Saudi chemical giant said in a statement.
