Russia's top private-sector oil producer, Lukoil, says it is busy working on studies of two oil fields in Iran for National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC) that Indonesia's Pertamina is also looking at. Lukoil boss Vagit Alekperov met with Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh and NIOC's managing director, Ali Kardor, in Tehran this week. "We have two agreements with the Iranian government to explore territories and specific fields that we find promising," Alekperov said after the talks, referring to the Ab-Teymour and Mansuri fields that Pertamina signed a memorandum on last month (IOD Aug.9'16).
