摘要

A key atmospheric and vacuum unit (AVU) at Indian Oil Corp.'s (IOC) new 300,000 b/d Paradip refinery, which caught fire on Jan. 31, is back in circulation but will take several more days to resume normal operations, a company spokesman said Wednesday (IOD Jan.12'16). The fire at the plant on India's east coast has embarrassed IOC ahead of its formal inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi this Sunday. The state-owned refiner is already facing a lot of criticism for missing several start-up deadlines on the project, which has cost 345.55 billion rupees ($5.08 billion). The AVU unit was commissioned in April last year.
