Russian Crude Exports to Grow in Third Quarter

Russian crude oil exports to countries outside the former Soviet Union (FSU) are set to rise by some 256,000 barrels per day in the third quarter of the year to 4.12 million b/d following the redirection of barrels from Belarus ( EIB Jun.17'16 ). Shipments to Belarus will fall to just 3.5 million tons (279,000 b/d) for July - September, from the 5.75 million tons (463,200 b/d) earmarked for the second quarter as Moscow uses oil supplies as leverage in attempts to make Minsk to pay off its gas debts.
