The recent fortunes of gasoline and diesel in Europe reversed this month after the regular cross-Atlantic arbitrages--European gasoline to the US, and US diesel to Europe--both closed. Traders said diesel was now more likely to sail from Europe to the US, with the 74,000 metric ton long-range (LR) tanker La Boheme, anchored outside Latvia's port of Ventspils since mid-December, now on its way to New York Harbor.
