Bontang Forecasts Lower 2017 LNG Output

Indonesia's Bontang LNG is expected to produce 150 cargoes in 2017, down from 173 cargoes this year due to dwindling investment in the Total-operated Mahakam Block that supplies most of the plant's gas. "We don't know yet how much gas production at the Mahakam Block [will be] next year because Total has not made new investment there," Salis Aprilian, the head of plant operator Badak NGL, told International Oil Daily. "Therefore, we decided to produce 150 cargoes in 2017 and we will see the development of gas supply to the Bontang LNG plant."
