India Seeks Crude to Fill New Strategic Storage

India will be looking to fill over 29 million barrels of new strategic oil storage in the coming months as one facility at the port city of Mangalore has just been completed and another at Padur will soon follow, International Oil Daily learns. Some 11 million barrels of storage at Mangalore is ready to receive crude and another 18.32 million bbl facility at Padur will be on line in another month, Rajan Pillai, head of state-owned Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves (ISPRL), told IOD Friday. Both underground storages are situated in the southern state of Karnataka.
