Canada's Suncor has closed a deal first announced in August to acquire a 30% stake in the UK North Sea Rosebank project from Austria's OMV. Suncor has made an initial payment of US$50 million, and if the other partners agree to the deal and Suncor chooses to proceed, Suncor could pay an additional $165 million (IOD Aug.10'16).
