Jump in Iranian Crude Exports to Japan

Japan's Iranian crude imports jumped 80% year-on-year in September to 313,000 b/d, their highest level since January 2012, according to International Oil Daily data, as Japanese refiners bought volumes in line with pre-sanctions levels. Iranian crude exports to Japan, historically a large buyer of Iranian crude, have exceeded 300,000 b/d twice this year, the first time being in May.
