China Gas Consumption Up 10%

China's natural gas consumption reached 99.5 billion cubic meters (19.3 Bcf/d) in the first half of this year, up 9.8% compared to the same period of 2015, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). A price cut in November last year has been supporting gas demand amid weak economic activity. The growth rate in the first half of last year was only 2.1%.
