Karoon Gears Up for Brazil Appraisal Work

Brazil's upstream regulator ANP has approved an appraisal plan submitted by Karoon Gas for five blocks located in the offshore Santos Basin, which is also home to the country's major presalt discoveries. Earlier this year the Australian company reported the Echidna light oil discovery in the area, which followed its Kangaroo light oil discovery there in 2013 (IOD Apr.21'15).
