Centrica Completes Morecambe Gas Scheme

UK gas supplier Centrica said Thursday it has completed a 1.1 km pipeline linking the South and North Morecambe natural gas terminals in Barrow, Lancashire, in northern England. It marks the end of an ￡80 million ($87.8 million) project, which included upgrades to the latter terminal. The scheme will allow gas from the offshore Morecambe fields in the East Irish Sea to be processed by the 8.4 MMcm/d North Morecambe gas terminal.
