Novatek Launches Oil Field in West Siberia

Top Russian independent gas producer Novatek on Tuesday launched the Yarudeiskoye oil field in West Siberia, its first large oil project. Yarudeiskoye should help Novatek boost its liquids production, the key driver for the company's revenue growth. The launch marks the completion of Novatek's plan for three commercial production start-ups in 2015 (see table below). It launched the Yaro-Yakhinskoye and Termokarstovoye gas condensate fields in April and May, respectively.
