Gazprom Goes Slow at Siberia Field

Russia's natural gas giant Gazprom is taking a slow pace with the development of the Chayandinskoye field in the republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which should feed the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to China. Gazprom assured investors on Monday that the field's development plan is on track. So far, one test well has been drilled as part of the pilot commercial development of the oil rim at the Chayandinskoye field, while the company should proceed with drilling two more wells, it said. Gazprom noted that it is only at the very beginning of the development and must get initial results to proceed.
