Royal Dutch Shell said Tuesday it had signed a framework agreement with privately held Chinese firm Guanghui Energy to set up a joint venture to purchase, import and sell LNG through a terminal in China's eastern Jiangsu province. The Qidong LNG terminal will be financed, constructed and operated solely by Xinjiangbased Guanghui, which earlier this year imported spot LNG using PetroChina's northeastern Dalian terminal.
