Rosneft Signs New Deals With BP, Total

Russia's state-controlled Rosneft signed a number of deals on Friday with BP and France's Total during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, deepening ties with the Western majors despite sanctions. Rosneft and Total finalized a deal signed last year for the sale of the French major's 16.67% stake in Germany's 230,000 barrel per day Schwedt refinery. Total said Rosneft would pay $300 million for the stake, excluding working capital. The deal is subject to customary approvals (IOD Dec.1'14).
